The Brong Ahafo Regional Police was able to rescue the little girl. Eric Otu appeared in Court at Techiman is to reappear on January 14.

Following the agitation against Jastar Motors and Investment Limited, Jerryson FM which also belongs to Mr. Charles Asum the CEO of the Micro-finance company was attacked by some disgruntle customers. The radio was subsequently closed but it is currently backed on air.

Tension was high in Nkoransa but calm has been restored and people are going round doing their normal duties.

The aggrieved youth lead by Nana Nyarko Ababio, had invoked a powerful local deity ‘Tom Kramo’ and the entire shrines in the Nkoransa Traditional Area to deal with anyone whoever campaign and vote in the 2016 elections in Nkoransa and the entire Brong Ahafo Region.

Nana Nyarko Ababio said what they did was to tell the authorities that they are aggrieved. The District Level Elections was postponed last year in the Nkoransa North and South Districts.

Today Customers of DKM Micro-finance, God Is Love Fun Club and other micro-finance companies who had challenges in accessing their investments today demonstrated on the principal streets of Berekum to register their displeasure in their challenges they have gone through.

However, the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. Eric Opoku has noted that the unrest that has characterised the operations of some micro-finance companies in the region must be devoid of partisan politics to find a lasting solution to the problem.

Hon. Eric Opoku was speaking at a press conference attended by REGSEC, traditional rulers, the media and a section of the public in Sunyani following demonstrations from customers of some micro-finance companies at Berekum and Nkoransa.

Mr. Opoku at the press conference noted that the Brong Ahafo Regional Security Council (RESEG) has done a lot when problems with DKM Micro-finance Company Limited and other micro-finance companies started.
